Dansol Nursery and Primary School opened her doors to the public on Monday, 27th of September 2004 with sixteen pupils. The proprietress, Mrs. Adunola Akinyemiju who has a passion for raising godly children, had the impression to reach the learners from the ‘cradle’ since primary education forms the bedrock for success in any nation. Secondly, parents of the high school, who had been a part of the success, had been clamouring for a primary school where their wards could be tutored based on the Word of God.
We believe and adopt Nigerian philosophy of education. In addition as Christian educators, We BELIEVE:
We offer a wide range of co-curricular activities that enable the children to express their innate skills and acquired abilities in what we term, ‘the No Child Left Behind’ drive. Every child in DNPS belongs to at least one club. They may also belong to the choir.
The clubs are Chess, Expressive Art (Dance and Drama), Ballet, Orchestra, Reading, Creative Art, Press and Literacy and Photography. Swimming and some contact sports are on hold because of the pandemic.
The school basically operates the Nigerian Curriculum with some additions from the British curriculum. This is to give the children a broad international exposure as well as ensure that they remain relevant as Nigerians.
The subjects offered include: Mathematics, English Language, Music, Physical Health Education, Christian religious Studies, French Language, Yoruba Language, Social Studies , Robotics, ICT, Cultural and Creative Arts, Basic Science and Technology, etc
