FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2018

The Dansol annual fathers’ day event has always been one full of the joys of spring. It is a time where Dansol fathers get together to have the time of their lives. However, this year’s fathers’ day event, held on the 16th June, 2018, at the Lekki Conservation Centre with the theme “FATHERS C-O-N-N-E-C-T”, was most exhilarating and educative.

The event was packed with a lot of thrilling activities such as: Canopy Walk, Tour of the Nature Reserve, Games and Sporting competitions at the Family Park. Irrespective of the gregarious atmosphere that accompanied the event, Dansol Fathers still had ample time to connect to the source of life which is the reason for the event. They communed with God and expressed His love even as they related with one another.

Since parenting is going cyber and a bit complicated due to the nature of the twenty first century and its impact on the children, there is a need to sensitize and equip fathers with the necessary knowledge to confront the disparity and discrepancies that the 21st century parents face even as they aspire to raise a morally sound children, free from all forms of societal decadence. Contingent on the challenging factors stated above, a brief parenting session facilitated by Mr. Akinropo Akinola was held. This was followed by an exhortation, prayer and prophetic session anchored by Rev. Fred Igho.
