The Dansol Innovate Championship is a skill-based competition open to all Dansol students. It seeks to honour the most innovative, appealing, ground-breaking and accessible solutions built with the technologies available to Dansol students.
The championship is filled with opportunities to gain new skills, develop the skills learners already have, receive mentorship, and work with other students who are keen on changing the world positively.
For the sake of equality, every class level will have the opportunity to participate in the competition. This means from JSS1 to SS3, students will form their teams and participate in the championship.
Shaping The World
The participants in the Dansol Innovate Championship competition have the opportunity to develop tech ideas that address what we face in the world.
Mentorship
We have created opportunities for the participants to network and receive mentoring from in-house industry professionals who are in the field of science technology and ICT.
Developing existing skills
Participants in the championship will sharpen their design, coding, collaboration, and competition skills, as they will explore the tools, training materials resources and in-house and
Prizes
Cash prizes will be awarded to three teams that succeed in the final stage and a grand prize with scholarship awards to the winning team.

In this round of the competition, you are allowed to prepare and present your technology project and project plan which will be screened and evaluated by the judges who are not staff of Dansol. We are not using the staff of Dansol as judges so that we can eliminate the chances of bias to the fullest. The selected top projects will advance to Round 2 of the competition.

The product is assessed if it includes innovations in technical design, implementation, and/or user experience
(25 points)
The product is also assessed if it has a professional degree of production in terms of performance, user interface, visuals, and audio. (15 points)
Does the team consider the needs of all users? (15 points)
Has the team used user feedback to improve the product? (10 points)
The product is assessed if it creates a new product or service. If it distinctly goes beyond what already exists in the market (10 points)
The product is assessed if it has a clear target market (15 points)
The team’s conduct of user testing or use of survey is assessed (10 points)
Is there a plan for the success of the product if it gets to the market? (5 points)
Hardware components for projects that include hardware are not expected to be presented for the competition.
All entries must be the original work of the teams.
Entries must include videos, source codes, user interface, music, or images owned by the teams.
The top three teams in Round 3 including the winning team will be announced in October 2023.
