At Dansol High School, we’re more than just a community, we’re a family united by our passion for making a difference. Years ago, we embarked on a life-changing project, “The Magbon Project,” which would forever leave an imprint on our hearts.
We visited a school in the Magbon area of Badagry, Lagos, and were met with a harsh reality. The school was in disarray, with waterlogged grounds, no ceilings, and reptiles crawling in. Students were forced to study in these unbearable conditions, with rain pouring in and disrupting their learning.
But we refused to turn a blind eye. With the collective efforts of our students, parents, and staff, we raised funds through charity contributions to renovate the school facility. We piled the floors, screeded the walls, and transformed the space into a conducive learning environment.
As we prepare for another charity outreach, we reflect on the impact of our contributions. We’re reminded that every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to putting smiles on the faces of those in need.
